Oct, 11, 2020
A Blessed and Prosperous Good Morning to you one and all!
We have a lot of October babes, so one more time: Good Morning and happy birthday to all of our Pumpkin Patch babies (also known as October babies.)
· October is Pastor’s Appreciation Month! We may not be worshipping all together, but let’s find a way to celebrate our Senior Pastor and staff Pastors for their hard work, as they continue to minister to us through the pandemic and other hardships of 2020.
· On behalf of Pastors Bruce and Karin Wall, the ministerial staff and the entire GMCC family we’re excited that you’re here, and we all say “welcome into this place”
· Welcome to all who continue to join us live stream. Welcome to those who have just recently found us. Welcome back to 670 to those who are worshipping in person again. Welcome to our new members.
· Thank you for cooperating with our safety protocols.
· If you are new to our fellowship or if this is your first experience with us let us know by making a comment on Pastor Wall’s fb page or on Globalministriesboston.org
· If you are listening on your cell, your tablet or logging on via Bostonpraiseradio.tv or Globalministriesboston.org, we are glad to be together. Each week we strive to improve our production of the service. Please give us your feedback.
· Please see our website (www.globalministriesboston.org) for current information regarding church activities. With that said, here are today’s headlines:
HEADLINES:
Small groups are up and running. They are the third Saturday of every month. In this time of social distancing it is more important than ever to keep in fellowship and interact with brothers and sisters in Christ. If you haven’t attended before, now would be a good time to start. If you do not know which group you are in ask any Deacon, leave a comment on fb live today or call the church at 617- 282-0685
· Covid 19 is going to be with us for the foreseeable future. As citizens of these united states of America and as citizens of the Kingdom of God, Philippians 2:3 states that “in humility” we are to think more highly of others than ourselves.
· Wear a mask, if not for yourself then for someone else.
PRAYER CONCERNS
PPE, strength for the medical teams, stress on families, homelessness, decisions about reentering school,
· the unemployment rate and the upcoming flu season.
· For property owners as well as tenants impacted by the rent moratorium
· Small businesses who are trying to stay viable
· Restaurants struggling to remain open as the weather changes.
· For the needs of our Codman Park friends.
· Pray that the Lord would keep our voting rights safe and that no one would succumb to voter suppression tactics.
· Make sure you AND those in your circle of family and friends vote. Make a plan now. Help each other with a ride to the polls. Know in advance where your polling station is. It may have changed.
· Pray for Boston Praise Radio and TV’s expansion and that it brings essential news information, culturally relevant Christian content.
· Pray that God would bring the right people with the right motives and resources to BPR/TV. Give Pastor Bruce and advisors wisdom regarding who he gives station access to.
· Pray for the family of Sister Mary Stallworth and Angela Stallworth.
· GMCC is once again applying to the Community Preservation Association for funds to rehab the exterior of our church building. Please pray DAILY for a favorable outcome on our proposal.
· Remember the 3 W’s when it comes to the pandemic:
WEAR a mask
WASH your hands often
WIPE down counters, tables, packages, door knobs, shopping carts and any other place the virus can attach itself to! It could save lives.
· We are requesting ongoing prayer for RaShaun Wise and family. Please encourage them by text, note or card. If you have specific questions please feel free to text or call Pastor K. Thank you.
· Tomorrow, Monday Oct. 12 there will be a Zoom planning meeting for Elders, Pastors and Deacons to plan out the Thanksgiving outreach. We will be meeting again soon. If you are interested in working on this event, please reach out to your Deacon Team or Pastor K. at 617 9100120.
· We would be remiss as followers of Jesus Christ not to heed the Word of God, which directs us to pray for those in authority over us. With that said, please pray for the first family of this nation, as Donald and Melania Trump and 18 others who attended his rally have been diagnosed with Covid 19.
· Tune in this afternoon at 2pm for a brand new episode of At The Table. Our guest is Nikia Londy, CEO of Intrigue Hair. In addition to being an entrepreneur, Niki addresses a need in the community for women who have lost their hair due to medical issues, by making wigs for them that are covered by most health insurances.

Two other considerations for reading are Read At The Bone and Caste. Please check them out. You may want to read them for yourself.

Small groups are up and running. They are the third Saturday of every month. Please block that out on your calendar so it does not come as a surprise to you in August. If you haven’t been assigned to a group? Leave a comment on fb live today or call the church at 617 282-0685
· The truth is folks, Covid 19 is going to be with us for the foreseeable future. As citizens of these united states of America and as citizens of the Kingdom of God, Philipians 2:3 states that “in humility” we are to think more highly of others than ourselves. Unless you have a medical reason that prevents you from wearing a mask, please for the next person, WEAR A MASK! If you have a condition that prevents you from wearing a mask, you may be at risk, in which case you should probably stay inside. Pray for PPE, strength for the medical teams, stress on families, homelessness, decisions about reentering school, the unemployment rate and the upcoming flu season.
· Don’t let up on your own personal safety precautions:
· 1. Wear masks when outside. 2. Wash your hands a lot! 3. Continue to social distance. Remember any of us could have the virus and be asymptomatic and unknowingly bring the virus back to a loved one. Keep gatherings small even though I know the temptation is great to enjoy loved ones and friends after such a long time of separation. 4. Wipe down counter tops, table, stoves etc. at lease twice a day. 5. Take your shoes off at the door. 6. Try not to bring the outside in the house with you.
· There are free testing sites throughout Mass. If you believe you should be tested please take yourself to one of the free testing sites. You do not have to be symptomatic to get tested.
· During this time of separation we as pastors and leaders continue to pray for you and yours. We ask that you pray for us as well. We pray for ways to minister in our community.
· Below are several ways that we have been staying in fellowship during the Covid crisis. All are welcome.
· 6 am prayer Monday- Friday & Saturday at 7am. (605-313-4197) Access code: 609259
· Monday- Friday 12-12:30pm. Call in: 978 990 5000. Access Code: 350413#, (This past week we slacked off noon time prayer a few days. Let’s get back to it and reengage this week more than ever).
· 7pm Prayer meeting, which can be seen on Pastor Bruce’s fb page, or going to globalministriesboston.org and click live stream I John 5:14 (tells us) “this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us”
· Join the bookclub. Every Wednesday night at 7pm. The book we are now reading is Relationship Goals by Michael Todd. What people are saying: “this book really fooled me. At my age I didn’t think I would be able to relate.” “This has become something I look forward to every Wednesday. I don’t know what I’m going to do when we finish the book.” “I love that we have women from all backgrounds, ages and experiences in the group”. “The church needs to make a space for young women to talk about these things. If I had had this book when I was dating…”
· We are on chapter 7. Text PK if you would like to be added to the Zoom invite list.
THIS ELECTION IS CRITICAL TO THE SURVIVAL OF THIS REPUBlic.

· Prayer request: Continue to Pray for the family of Congressman John Lewis who passed away this week from pancreatic cancer at the age of 80. Pray for his replacement.
· Pray for the running mate that VP Biden selects. May she be the right person for the job at this time in the nations history.
· Pray for a heart change for America or anywhere injustice exists. Ask God to blanket this city (and others) with a desire to pursue peace.
· Pray for the leadership of Donald Trump. Pray for his advisors and all those who advise him. Our nation depends on it.

For those who don’t know, Juneteenth commemorates the day that Union General, Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas to let some 250,000 slaves know that The Emancipation Proclamation had been signed into law on Jan.1. 1863, thus ending slavery. They did not receive this information until June 19thth 1865. That’s right! You do the math. Almost 2 ½ years later they were made aware of their freedom.

We are so happy that you have chosen to be an active part of your church body during this pandemic and the upheaval in this nation and around the world.
· Whether you are a church member, a frequent visitor or have just recently found us over the last 3 months. Through worship and fellowship we hope you are blessed. If you are listening on your cell, your tablet or logging on via Bostonpraiseradio.tv or Globalministriesboston.org, we are glad to be together. Each week we strive to improve our production of the service. Please give us your feedback.
· I refer you to our website or the church bulletin for updates on what’s going on at Global Ministries Christian Church and the city…. but here are the
HEADLINES:
· It is still important to remain socially distanced, limit your interaction with others, wash your hands several times a day and wear face masks. 161,000.00 American have died from the Corona Virus thus far.
· Now is not a time to slack on your daily prayer life. If anything, while we are in a holding pattern, teach yourself new spiritual disciplines and prayer is essential. I want to challenge each of you to join one of the following prayer opportunities AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. If you cannot commit to one in particular, mix it up: 6 am prayer one day, noon prayer on another day and prayer meeting on Friday. Please note. The call in numbers for morning prayer and noon time prayer are different.
· 1. Monday-Friday @ 6AM and Saturdays at 7AM (605-313-4197) Access code: 609259
· 2. Monday-Friday 12-12:30pm. Call in: 978 990 5000. Access Code: 350413#
· 3. We invite you to prayer meeting from 7:00-8:30pm on Friday nights. Can be seen on Pastor’s face book page, ROKU and Apple TV.
1John 5:14 (tells us) “this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us”
· Praise Reports: Sister Glynnettes’s brother and sister in law as they continue to recover; Brother Curtis Shelton has been moved to a rehab facility. Praise God.
· Continue to lift Brother Scott up in prayer.
· Praise God for the recovery of sister Betty Eato Smith.
· Lift up the Park Place Nursing home where Sis. Betty Eato Smith resides.
· Dr. King said in his famous Mountain Top speech, “ Somewhere I read of the freedom assembly. Somewhere I read of the freedom of speech. Somewhere I read of the freedom of the press. …America we’re not asking for anything special, we’re just asking that you be true to what you wrote on paper”. What should the role of the Christian be in response to injustice? Pray for a heart change for America or anywhere injustice exists. Ask God to blanket this city (and others) with a peace that passes ALL human understanding.
