HOW TO JOIN OUR CHURCH FAMILY

We believe that membership in a church is Biblical.  “Praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.  And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”  (Acts 2:47)

You can become a member of our church family, if you are a Christian, by attending the new member’s class.  The class is designed to teach basic biblical doctrine, and what our church believes.  In addition, there are short presentations given by the leaders of the church.  This process will help you to discover your spiritual gifts and to assist you with your transition into our church family. 

We also offer an Associate Membership for any person coming into the GMCC community as a temporary resident (such as a student or a person on short-term work assignment) who desires fellowship with our church, but wants to retain their home church membership.  Associate members will have the rights and privileges of full membership, with the exception of holding office in the church.

Baptism is for people who have made a decision to follow Christ and want to follow his example by being baptized.  Jesus said, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19). In this church, the mode of baptism is by immersion. (You do not have to be a church member to be baptized).
